This would be for those who like to play with their partners, or a small group of friends every weekend, or anything like this. With that said, there is a group of players that would prefer if multiplayer could be played as a co-operative adventure.
Most people like to have their own ship, and this format helps with easy transitions between single- and multiplayer most people don't see a need for change. Inherently, there is nothing wrong with this, per se. I've seen this posted sporadically both on this sub and on Steam (after a quick Google search), but in general, the idea/suggestion went neglected and got shot down for no real reason, so here's my attempt at clearly describing the issue (note: not problem or flaw, just the subject at hand), and the suggested option.Ĭurrently, in Starbound multiplayer, every player gets his or her own ship, with his or her own quests, and his or her own progression.
